I believe Kamala is the main reason more people are not talking about the 25th Amendment. If we maintain the filibuster and retake both houses in '22, I believe we are able to sustain through '24 with Biden as President. Our country will be weaker and will lose significant international standing. But we can arrive intact in a new administration. Kamala as President would be a total disaster for the country. Her performance and her interviews to date have shown us that. Even the Democrats know she would be bad for the party's chances in '24.
One question about your analysis: Will any of this matter if a President Kammy has managed to finish the "fundamental transformation" which O'Bummer promised but didn't deliver? If America's moral, economic. diplomatic and military power and authority are more or less destroyed, who will much care about a second tier America on the world stage?

Paul, you may have missed the condition of my post. "If we maintain the filibuster and retake both houses in '22...." If we lose the filibuster or do not take at least one chamber, your concerns could be very real. With those intact, the Democrats will have a very difficult path to that transformation. Right now, we are very dependent on Manchin and Sinema to hold the line. Have you written to thank them and offer support? I have. I also asked what I could do as a Republican living out of their state to help. They need to know that the conservatives and moderates have their backs. They form a very thin and fragile blue line in holding the filibuster. We need them.
My mother died of Alzheimer's 2 years ago. Her cognition and mental capacity declined over a period of 10 years. During the last 5 years the decline was drastic. I observe some of the same "tells" in Biden that I saw during my Mom's decline: wide eyed stares, inability to maintain cohesive thoughts, unable to form sentences, easily distracted, flashes of unreasonable anger, using familiar phrases to fill sentences when unable to comprehend a question ("Now, this is the truth", "now hear me out" etc.). Biden has periods when he seems fine. He is probably on some sort of medication. Also, cognition in people with dementia usually worsens later in the day. Most of Biden's speaking events occur in the early to mid afternoon. I think it is sad that the Democrat political machine is using Biden in this manner. What is worse is the fact that Democrats and the MSM know this but continue to gloss over or out right ignore what every citizen can see right before their eyes. Anyone who continues to believe that there is nothing wrong with Biden needs to pull up the debate between him and Paul Ryan. Biden was sharp...and basically handed Paul's head to him. The decline since this is obvious.
