Whatever will Greta do when she discovers that Sweden has requested membership in NATO, along with Finland? The poor child will probably need a large coloring book, a few hundred crayons, and a pack of emotional support dogs to be able to withstand the psychic strain.

That Greta Thunberg has been a willing tool of the environmental Marxists - and of all Marxists in general - is her problem, and is of no concern to rational, thinking people everywhere. That she continues ti inveigh against the supposed evils of 21st Century society using the very technology she so decries is beyond merely ironic, and I'll leave it to you to describe it. She should try just once living her stated beliefs and reduce her activities to passing out handbills on Stockholm street corners; that way, her beliefs would reach the proper audience, and those of us who live in the real word can get on with developing real world solutions to the problems of the age.

NATO/Ukraine isn't the only disinformation. The whole global warming panic is a better example - like all good yarns there is an element of truth to it

I like how all the Biden supporters are quietly removing their yard signs and bumper stickers and disavowing their support for him. Biden has fed off the public teat his entire life and is a two-bit political hack. That he was elected president says a lot about how far gone things are in the U.S. Hopefully, we get more patriots in office to reverse the decline. I say hopefully because it is hardly a fair fight when the majority of the corporate media and big tech are aligned with the Dems and openly subvert the truth. The one ray of hope is that the swing vote, true liberals and minorities, including blacks, are coming around to see the left for what it is, a corrosive, destructive force in the U.S. bent on "fundamentally changing" (Obama's favorite phrase) what was the greatest nation on earth.

I agree it’s totally unfair because if only the unvarnished truth could be reported the left would never win. They are only fine with elections they can control.

Yall cant make up your minds. Whatever Biden does, it will be wrong in your eyes. Like Trump is so tough too. If Biden were to get more involved the gripe would be, why are we getting involved in another entanglement that doesn't involve us? I've already heard that, and we dont have a single boot on the ground in Ukraine, nor should we. Also, you do realize that these sanctions are not Biden's call alone to make, yes?? One of Trump's National security people were on Faux News yesterday after the press conference and criticized Biden for not removing Russia from the SWIFT banking system and that he needs to do so, but credit to the Faux News anchor, sorry I dont know her name, but she stated that it was not a call that Biden could make alone. NATO/EU would have to agree to the removal of Russia from SWIFT and the Trump official acknowledged that this was true. If her feet had not been held to the fire, she would have omitted that fact. Both sides, left and right, lie by omission all the time. People are just fine when their team does it.

Also, props to Erick for at least acknowledging NATO expansion is not to blame for Putin's actions. However, he did fail to mention who is blaming NATO for this. They have a show every weeknight on Faux News at 8pm and he blames NATO for this and doesn't blame Putin for feeling threatened. He and the traitor Tulsi Gabbard were on the show the other night railing on NATO. My people on left and right, please do your own research. Many people had no problems "doing their research" on vaccines. Why not do some research on world events yourselves instead or relying on thes profit driven talking heads that feed you lies from the left and the right. Take care.

If your sole source of news is the corporate media outlets, including Fox, then you are poorly informed and being misled in one direction or the other. And as far as blame for the Ukrainian situation is concerned, most of it lies squarely at the feet of Vladimir Putin. But at the same time, if you can't see how a feeble-minded "leader" like Biden might embolden enemies of democracy like Putin and ultimately Xi Jinping, then you need to conduct a thorough self-examination because your mind and conscious are not rightly formed.

Expand full comment

True, but I find Fox does a better job at just the news. I know there’s spin but I account for it. CNN, MSNBC are absurd. ABC and the rest lie by omission.

I agree with Erick, and with others on ‘Faux News’ that NATO membership for Ukraine is a red herring. Tucker Carlson interviewed a former Fox anchor, forgot his name, and he stated the same thing last night, NATO membership for Ukraine is not the issue. Putin has made a huge mistake.

Thank you Biden, the US and many other parts of the world are about to live through the quote from Michaels Hopf's book "Hard times create strong men, Strong men create good times, Good times create weak men, Weak men create hard times."

With Biden, Levine, Miley and Brinton in the white house, we have reached the ultimate, weak males create hard times phase. I say males because these people aren't real men, they're just biological males.

I was worried at first that my kids would live through this phase of weak wussified males like we have in the white house now but I think it's better that they experience it first hand so hopefully it won't happen again in their lifetimes

Our policy makers & elected officials are suppose to be looking the down the road to prevent this moment. The last decade or so they failed to do this.

The US has eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear. We are under the consequences of our own actions. The US blames its consequences (profusely)on climate change, the pandemic, foreign policy errors, Trumpism, WOKE, BLM, etc. How silly we appear! The US has joined the ranks of whiner nations and we are being discounted into irrelevancy.

In 1990 when the Soviet Union collapsed, Ukraine had a large nuclear arsenal that the Russians stored there. They were the third most powerful nation nuclear weapon wise. The weapons were decommissioned and they got security guarantees from Russia and the West. Ukraine has agricultural and mineral supplies the Russia needs. Putin is just Stalin in our century.

Expand full comment

To be fair, Ukraine wanted to divest themselves of those nukes; they simply didn't want to simply give them back to Russia. The agreement which was finally struck called for the missiles to be destroyed and the warheads to be dismantled by the people running the dismantling operation set up under the Nunn-Lugar Cooperative Threat Reduction Initiative, something which never received the praise (like Nobel Peace Prizes for Sam Nunn and Richard Lugar) which it so richly deserved. As for Putin: He's living in the fantasy land previously occupied by unrepentant Stalinists and those who still pine for the glories of the Romanov dynasty. They forget that Ukraine was granted separate status in the USSR under the rule of Nikita Khrushchev - who just happened to have been..... wait for it..... a Ukrainian.

More than ever elections have consequences. Why would we sanction a country and at the same time buy oil from them? Who does this. Why doesn't someone ask Biden that?.

Expand full comment

Do you know how many times Russia has been sanctioned over the years? By both Rep and Dem administrations? Never has a drop of oil not been purchased from Russia. Dont act like this is a Biden or Democrat issue. This is an American issue. A greed issue. An insatiable thirst for oil and money issue. How about we have more electric cars and reduce our reliance on foreign oil? Oh the Republicans have been against the expansion and proliferation of EVs for years....come on now. Let be honest now.

Expand full comment

Missed my point entirely. Why sanction a country then turn around and BUY oil from the same country. How about use our own oil. Also what do think generates most of the electricity for your electric cars. You can’t plug them into a tree.

Expand full comment

LOL..talk about missing a point...if there are more electric vehicles then there would be fewer gas burning vehicles, therefore less oil used. My goodness. Was it that difficult to comprehend? Solar? Wind? Hydroelectric, hell even coal. More ways to produce electricity than using oil. It takes less oil to generate the power needed to charge an EV than it does to run a gas car the same time/distance.

Expand full comment

How about if I type real slow. First I was referring to Biden putting sanctions on Putin and the turning around and buying oil from him. Duh. How ludicrous. Now about electric cars. They have to be charged correct? With electricity correct? Most of electricity in this country is generated by natural gas and coal . Most wells drilled and I say most not all wells are drilled with the idea of getting both oil and natural gas. US energy. I know electricity is not generated with oil. But most of your plastic electric car is made from petroleum.

Expand full comment

I know exactly what you meant. I said, and this now makes the 3rd time for the slow people in the back, we have placed sanctions on Russia many times for many different reasons over the years. Bush, Obama, Trump and now Biden. Never have we, nor Europe, stopped buying Russian oil after placing sanctions on them. You blame Biden for doing it like he is the only one that has ever done so. That is the point. Did you blame your precious Trump for doing it? Obama? I'm sure you blamed him. If your kid brought home straight Fs on his report card that was probably

Obama fault too. Bush? You probably don't remember. Also, I never said no oil would be used at all. EVs will help REDUCE OUR NEED FOR OIL. especially foreign oil. Ford committed to having 40% to 50% of their global fleet fully electric by 2030. Chevy promised 25 EV models for sale by 2025, so it must be a good idea. If we used less oil to power our cars, we can use it in other areas, perhaps even sell it to Europe so they won't need to buy Russian oil and then the sanctions might actually have an effect. Why is this solid logic so hard to comprehend? Because you would rather argue with someone trying to help you see a different view than find common ground. Plug the car into a tree. Ridiculous.

We need to take a hard look in the mirror. To the outside world the U.S. is a corrupt and confused nation more concerned about supporting programs like "Boys Can Have Vaginas and Girls Can Have Penises" than we are about critical domestic and international issues. We are so weakened, unserious and unprepared right now, we couldn't even defend a NATO country from attack, let alone Ukraine. And say what you will about Donald Trump, it is a good bet that this would not be happening on his watch.

I literally LOLd at this. What would Trump do? He is in Putin's backpocket. OMG This is hilarious. Putin doesn't want Trump to look bad. Thats his puppet. For starters, Trump would have maintained our energy independence and not been so foolish as to literally finance Putin’s war machine. That’s a fact and it would have, at a minimum, paused Putin’s plans.

You are projecting. Cultish followings are a thing of the left. Don't confuse love of country for love of a man. Trump was the right man at the right time, and in fact he deserved another 4 years to undo all the damage done by Obama. A patriot, which apparently you are not, would understand this.
