Now listen y’all, we have restrictive voting laws and we love babies. Don’t you be coming to Georgia. I want to buy your ticket. Love y’all!

if I remember correctly, Zuckerberg said he didn't want ads on FB in the early days.

I'm curious as to WHY you, Erick, would have any desire to use the Twitter platform. Why would ANY conservative be a part of the enrichment of a company that censors speech? Surely, Erick, you have multiple outlets to share your thoughts and opinions other than Twitter. Jus'sayin'!

What you're talking about is now beyond postmodernism...at least in postmodernism, we could "agree to disagree" regarding a person's version of truth. Now, the focus is no longer on truth, but on power...which you mention when you talk about tyranny. I call this "supramodernism". Interesting times.

Why would one even bother with twitter then?

Facebook is no better with imbeciles doing the fact checking.

Why bother with social media, period?? Maybe I'm REALLY missing something by not being one of the cool kids, but I get along just fine without any of it. Of course, the REAL tragedy is I have no idea how to take a selfie or use filters....

Oh I love filters

Thank God we'll soon have "Truth Social," where we'll get, not real truth, but Trump's "truth." Where ironically, (but not surprisingly), anyone who criticizes Trump will be suspended. And possibly have Trump supporters show up on your front porch to threaten your family. Welcome to the post-modern world of social media. Large segments on both sides have gone insane, and people are stupid.

Oh my, I love it, truth social, sign me up!

Paul, I'm also for people not being stupid. Twitter and Facebook are private enterprises, acting as crazed elephants. Competition is probably the best way to fight them. Not sure at all if Trump's "Truth Social" will have an effect, but using Twitter and Facebook feeds the beasts as the users provide these social networks their assets, the users themselves. Stay away if they are acting fascist, which I believe they are. But they are not the government, so they sadly can.

In a press release reported the 'The Western Journal', Trump states, "

"Unlike with the Big Tech platforms, there will be no shadow-banning, throttling, demonetizing, or messing with algorithms for political manipulation. We will not be treating users like lab rats for social experiments, or labeling alternative views as ‘disinformation'."

Trump is saying alternative views will not be squelched, so your comment is a projection of what you think Trump will do. His 'Truth Social" may not work, but he is at least trying.

Trump has a lot of warts but the media has been looking at him with a Hubble Telescope 24/7/365 before, during, and after he was president. President Biden is being looked at with a telescope bought from Walmart, with its optics smeared with petroleum jelly. It's an absurd coddling of a president by the press. There are good things about Trump that can be learned. I want Trump to learn good things from his supposed 'enemies' such as Mitch McConnell, Gov. Kemp and others if he hopes to run for president again.

Truth Social's terms of use does not include a provision that you can be suspended for disagreeing with the former President. Utterly ridiculous, bordering on TDS, to even suggest so. And Trump supporters aren't the ones you need to fear. It's the protesters on the Left that have been engaged in wonton violence, destruction of property, and threatening and intimidating behavior.

We are constantly commanded to bow down to the statue of Nebuchadnezzar (or Covid, CRT, climate change, etc). Refusing to bow doesn’t get you tossed into a fiery furness but just ostracized and fired. Those refusing the jab are as brave as Daniel’s friends. Support them. (PS, I got the jab, my choice).
