A total eclipse, then a show of the Northern Lights, going down to the Deep South. These are two extremely rare celestial events happening very close. Not sue if this is good or bad, but it may point to something very momentous happening soon.

Who is like our God? He creates everything and then chooses to show love and mercy to us, so great, that he sends his only son to pay our debt when Satan was expecting us to be returned to the dust we were made from instantly. We get something Satan never experienced...we get mercy. Thank you Erick for always reminding us what is truly important. Charles de Andrade

I'd venture that I'm regarded as a happy, upbeat person by nearly all of those I know in family, at church (where I'm an elder), and in my former work environment (I'm retired). Personal relations are one thing, however (I tend to love people), but I mourn the moral decline and increased ungodliness of the world and country I've witnessed in my lifetime. From Roe in '73 to the NYS Legislature cheering full-term abortions in '23. Our pitiful state of music. Slanted juries. Lawlessness. Movies. The near utter degeneration of the Democrat/Marxist Party. Flaunted promiscuity. Entitlements to robbery, welfare cheating, illegal voting, and violence against police. A growing culture of death. I could fill up a few more pages of where the world and U.S. has morally plummeted in the last 60 or so years (I'm now 72) and how the degradation has only accelerated.

What a time to be alive, indeed. Can you assert that God is happy with the direction of the United States? Not if you read The Bible. To pray for the world, as I do, I think one has to see it for what it is, and what it has sunk to. More and more high-tech gizmos, noteworthy though they be, have hardly stanched the bleeding of a dying civilization.

Thanks for sharing. We could not see them here in Maryland with all the rain and clouds. Maybe tonight they say….

Erick it was a beautiful evening. I kept looking up just because the moon was so pretty. A couple minutes after we walked thru your street, we saw a meteor. When we continued on to Carillon, we saw Elon's satellite train making its way directly overhead. When we finished our walk in Waterford, the N Lights began their display. It was an EPIC evening light show.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.

Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. .......Psalm 19

Thank you! We had heavy cloud cover in northeast PA, so saw nothing. But that's all right--we have everyone else's pics to look at. How fortunate we are, seriously

Stunning photos, Erick. Experiences like this show us how incredibly small we are in the grand scheme. But that's also what makes this so awe inspiring. We are but a grain of sand...
