This looks like a growing story with the fema contractor making a statement now alluding to this being a known policy inside the org. If true it’s sad that a gov org just fulfilled a lot of fringe conspiracy. It’s suspected that the guberment has been serving the people differently but to confirm it especially in a time of need, it’s pretty disturbing even for dems.

As much as I agree that both government workers and contractors need to be reduced in number, I cringe at the word ‘purge’ and calls to ‘fire them all.’ Both expressions convey high emotion and low thinking. I agree that the reports about DoD leaders trying to subvert the President should be dealt with harshly and quickly when facts reveal their malfeasance. For reducing the size of government, there are ways to first decide what tasks should be done at all, and close those things down completely. For other things that are essential (some but not all aspects of FEMA, etc) there are ways of deciding who should be kept on merit, and help the others find gainful employment. Even Jack Welch, CEO of GE, famous for removing 10% of his workforce regularly, made sure that those released were treated well and assisted in finding other work. It does not need to take a long time to accomplish without resorting to chaos.

Good Report Contractors are often connected.

It may be determined that the Owner, or Director of the Outside contractor is A Congressman or their Friend or Family.

I fear the rot that has infected the Federal government is too big and too well hidden to be effectively straightend out. The manpower alone needed to do it doesn't exist.

Having started, bought and managed several companies; I can tell you that this can be done if you have the will and power to hire and fire employees and modify the structure of the enterprise including jettisoning bloat and useless functions. It does not take an army to do this. The purifying process will bring forth the employees you want to keep who will help you find the hidden bodies.

I would speculate that the entirety of the NGO apparatus could be pulled out or at the very least get a thorough IG report

Yup. I am not against contractors, and actually believe that government services are better served by private industry service providers and not by government employees. However, our non-profit system is a mess and needs complete overhaul.

One idea is to require non profits to state their mission and goals as part of their IRS approval for being a 501 C ?, and in their annual audit require a "substantially meets" opinion from the auditor. Those non-profits failing would be given one year to remedy the problem or lose their non-profit status.

This would solve the problem of political PACs that masquerade as doing something else. For example, ActBlue.com.
